My Story

I was raised in Ottawa Lake Mi on a small farm. My primary education came from Whiteford Agricultural School high school where I focused on Drafting and Design. From there I then went to Monroe County Community College to get my Degree in Mechanical Design. During my time at Monroe County Community College I also received my certification in GD&T.

My professional career at Riker Products in Toledo OH as a Mechanical Designer. It was there I learned some of the ins and outs of ISO9000 quality control. My duties were to take customer supplied prints and convert them into shop floor prints.

From my time at Riker I moved on to Durr Ecoclean in Bowling Green, OH. I was lead Mechanical designer for the better part of 2 years. My duties were to design filtration units for Machining Centers. I traveled the United States and China to help with installations, and make sure equipment was made to print.

I moved on to Yarder Mfg. as a Mechanical Engineer. My duty was to help take customer designs and convert them into shop assemblies, troubleshoot customer issues, and program CNC machinery.

I then moved on to Toledo Engineering. My duties there were to do P&ID's, and layout the mechanical aspects of glass melting furnaces.

For fun I like to hike in the northern parts of Michigan. I like to camp, and enjoy four wheeling. I have a wife, 2 daughters, 4 dogs, and 3 cats that I like to spend time with.

I would like to say that 3D printing started as a hobby. When the pandemic hit and there was a shortage of PPE it was the 3D printing community that really stepped up and helped save lives. That's what really showed me the power of 3D printing. And I wanted to show the rest of the world what the possibilities are using this amazing technology.
